FAQ

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WEDDING PLANNER AND A WEDDING COORDINATOR?

A wedding planner makes critical decisions in preparation for the event and is involved in the planning process from day one. A planner can help you to create a theme or feel for the day, design decor, set and manage your budget, book vendors, and help actually plan the wedding. A coordinator works with you in the weeks leading up to your big day to oversee all of the thoughtful planning you've put into the event and makes sure all details are executed seamlessly, and the plan is brought to action. We offer both planning and coordination services.

WHY SHOULD I GET A WEDDING PLANNER OR COORDINATOR?

I always say "You don't know, what you don't know!" You can plan your own wedding. Having a thoughtful wedding planning to-do list will get you a long way but you may not know if you're missing anything, what questions to ask your vendors, if the contract you received is "normal", the ins, and outs basically. A planner can easily navigate through all these details having done it so many times. A planner will also advocate for you on your behalf and encourage vendors to think outside the box ensuring you won't end up with a cookie-cutter wedding. A wedding is a big moment in a person's life. So even if you can do it yourself, you shouldn’t have to. We can take the stress out of the day and let couples get back to enjoying the experience as they should. 

WILL I STILL HAVE SOME CONTROL OVER MY WEDDING IF I HIRE YOU AS MY PLANNER?

Most definitely! We will do as much, or as little, as you want us to do during the wedding planning process. This is YOUR wedding. Our goal is to make the planning process as stress-free as possible for you, not to take over. 

 

CAN YOU TELL ME HOW YOU’RE DIFFERENT FROM ALL THE OTHER WEDDING PLANNERS OUT THERE?

We are here for YOU. Your wedding isn't about us, it's about creating the most perfect day for you and your loved ones. If you want your wedding colors to be blue, red, and green, then that's what we're going to do. I personally wouldn't be the biggest fan of that color scheme, but that doesn't matter. What matters is that we help you achieve the wedding of YOUR dreams. We listen to your wants and needs and guide you through the planning process. We find the right vendors and suppliers that match your style and energy. We don't just go off a list of standard vendors. Every wedding is customized to you.The most valuable thing that we do as wedding planners is to make the planning process fun and relaxed for you, our couples. We do the planning, budgeting, and coordinating so that you get to focus on the exciting parts of designing your wedding like the food and cake tastings, trying on gorgeous wedding gowns, and selecting the perfect invitation. HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED TO PLAN?

Weddings generally take at least 9-12 months to plan properly, however, it all depends on the event itself. Some weddings can be planned in weeks. Others may take years to pull off perfectly. Let's talk about what exactly you want and need and then I can give you a better answer. 

DO YOU TAKE ON MORE THAN ONE WEDDING PER DAY?

No, we will never take on two weddings on one day. We do however take on more than one wedding per weekend. Over the years our team has grown large enough to take on the task of multiple weddings per weekend. During the planning process, you will be introduced to several team members so you can get to know us all. We want you to meet more than one lead just because life happens. Often times we are planning for an entire year. In that year many things can happen, babies, illness, life, etc. So, if for any reason one team member becomes unavailable, we want you to feel comfortable with their backup. We all work closely together and make sure everyone gets familiarized with your wedding details.

WE’RE GETTING MARRIED IN VA BUT LIVE IN ANOTHER STATE. CAN YOU STILL HELP US?

Yes, we actually work with couples from all over the country and internationally. Having a wedding planner is quite beneficial in that situation since you most likely don’t have the time to fly in often to meet with vendors, etc. For couples who do not wish to have a planner or coordinator onsite but would still like help planning their wedding, we offer virtual planning services. These packages can be used by couples from all over the country.

 

IT SEEMS EXPENSIVE. ARE WE GOING TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD THIS?

Yes! The average couple (without a wedding planner) spends over 300 hours planning their wedding. Much of that time is spent looking for vendors and then meeting with one after the other until you find the perfect one. As wedding planners, we have already done the homework and have formed relationships with quality vendors. By getting to know you we can then direct you to one or two vendors that match your personality as well as your budget. This service alone will save you many hours. You can then use those hours to work (make more money), spend with your fiance, spend with your family, and more. Plus, we are often able to find vendors or venues that couples have never even heard of. Giving you the opportunity for a more unique wedding. We also love passing on vendor discounts. We have vendors who offer discounts on stationary, cake, photography, favors, gifts, and more.

HOW DOES THE BOOKING PROCESS WORK?

The next step would be to connect with us to make sure that our personalities mesh and that we would both like to work together. If we find that we are a good fit for each other then we will sign the contract, you pay a deposit, and we start planning your fabulous wedding!

WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT AND DO YOU HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN?

We accept all major credit cards, Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, and Paypal. We require an initial down payment to hold the date. We will then work with you to create a payment schedule that works for you.
